# When a PSD opens with different text.

A PSD can open successfully while its text wraps or spaces differently. Treat the text as a separate part of the import check.

## Find the text that changed

Compare the canvas with the source’s intended appearance. Look for changed line breaks, spacing, clipping and letter shapes. These checks help you locate a font or text-layout mismatch rather than assuming the whole document is broken.

## Inspect the font and the layer

If the document has an editable text layer, inspect its selected font in the editor. Browser applications do not automatically provide every font installed on your computer. The official PhotoCraft Web hosting guide describes application fonts and optional host-served fonts.

## Decide with the source creator when needed

For an exact handoff, obtain the intended font through its legitimate distribution or ask for a suitable flat preview. Changing the font is a design change; use a copy and check the new wrapping and spacing.

## Export only after checking the text

Download the intended working file and a flat PNG preview. Reopen the saved copy and compare the exported text. A successful download alone does not prove the layout matches.

## FAQ

### Do browsers automatically see all my installed fonts?

Do not assume that. The hosted Web application uses its available font set.

### Does installing a font on my computer prove the editor can use it?

No. Check the application’s actual font list and the document.

### Will exporting PNG fix a missing font?

It flattens what the editor currently renders. Check and resolve the appearance before exporting.
